Neuromodulators aka "tox" works by temporarily blocking nerve signals that cause muscles to contract. When injected, the purified protein stops the release of acetylcholine (a chemical messenger). Without this signal, the targeted muscles relax, smoothing existing wrinkles and preventing new ones from forming.
It is primarily used a wrinkle relaxer for the face but it also can be used for migraines, excessive sweating, muscle slimming, muscle tension, spasticity for cerebral palsy, and gummy smiles.
All of the neuromodulators are similar but their main differences lie in their formulation additives, how long results last, and their price points or branding.
Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA): Contains the active toxin wrapped in protective accessory proteins plus human serum albumin
Jeuveau (prabotulinumtoxinA): Uses a modern manufacturing process with a protein profile very similar to Botox
Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA): A "naked" toxin stripped of all accessory proteins, which may lower the risk of building long-term treatment resistance
Daxxify (daxibotulinumtoxinA): Stabilized using a novel proprietary peptide instead of human or animal proteins
Letybo (letibotulinumtoxinA): Features a classic protein structure comparable to Botox, targeted as a modern, value-driven alternative

I need to know. Please tell me, as some medical conditions and medications are not compatible with neuromodulators/tox treatments. It may be necessary to reschedule your appointment, as your health and safety are always my top priority!
Avoid caffeine and eat a full, nutritious meal to decrease your chance of lightheadedness.
Remove any products such as makeup, lotion, sunscreen, etc. from the area being treated before your appointment. If you forget this one, I have wipes on hand.
I recommend getting your workout done before your appointment as you will not be able to afterwards.
Avoid working out/heavy sweating for the first 24 hours to prevent infection and excessive blood flow.
Avoid massaging the area or wearing items that press on the areas I inject. This would include glasses, hats, goggles, and helmets.
Avoid alcohol and blood thinners like NSAIDS to minimize bruising.
Avoid wearing makeup for at least 24 hours to prevent infection.
Please try to sleep on your back to prevent any asymmetry (mainly for crows feet and masseters)
If you would like to minimize the risk of bruising after treatment, please consider these options. They would generally need to be ordered online or purchased in advance of treatment. Please note, this is entirely optional and at your discretion:
Homeopathic Arnica Montana pellets and/or topical gel
